1. What is Tyre Shield?
Tyre Shield is a patented self-healing tyre protection system designed to prevent air loss caused by punctures in tubeless tyres.
2. How does the self-healing technology work?
When a nail or sharp object pierces the tyre, internal air pressure pushes the active protective compound to the puncture point, instantly sealing the hole and preventing air loss.
3. How long does the protection last?
The protective compound remains active inside the tyre until the tyre reaches the end of its usable life, providing continuous protection under normal driving conditions.
4. Does Tyre Shield affect tyre balance or performance?
No. The formula is engineered to maintain tyre balance, ride comfort, and overall vehicle performance.
5. Is it safe for all vehicles?
Yes. Tyre Shield is suitable for passenger cars, two-wheelers, and commercial vehicles with tubeless tyres.
6. Can it protect against multiple punctures?
Yes. The active compound continues to seal multiple small punctures within the repairable area of the tyre.
7. Will I still need to repair my tyre later?
Tyre Shield prevents immediate air loss, but permanent repair is recommended for large or sidewall damage.
8. Does it work for new and used tyres?
Yes. Both new and used tyres can be treated after proper internal preparation.
9. Will it prevent tyre bursts?
Tyre Shield helps prevent sudden air loss from punctures, reducing the risk of unexpected tyre failure caused by small sharp objects.
10. Does it require maintenance?
No special maintenance is required once applied under proper conditions.
11. Does Tyre Shield affect the Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)?
No. Tyre Shield’s self-healing protective compound is engineered to remain inside the tyre without interfering with the TPMS sensors. It does not affect pressure readings, sensor accuracy, or the overall functioning of the tyre pressure monitoring system under normal driving conditions. The system continues to monitor pressure normally while benefiting from puncture protection.
12. Can Tyre Shield be removed if needed?
Yes. It can be removed by trained technicians through a professional internal cleaning process after the tyre is demounted.
13. Is Tyre Shield covered under warranty?
Yes. Tyre Shield is covered under a limited warranty when applied by an authorized technician, as per company terms and conditions.
14. Is Tyre Shield suitable for all tyre brands?
Yes, it is compatible with most tubeless tyre brands and models.
15. Can it seal large punctures or sidewall damage?
Tyre Shield is designed to seal small punctures within the repairable tread area. Major cuts or sidewall damage require professional repair.
16. Is it safe for high-speed driving?
Yes. Tyre Shield is tested to perform under normal and highway driving conditions.
17. Will it prevent sudden tyre deflation?
Yes. It helps prevent sudden air loss caused by small punctures.
18. Does it add extra weight to the tyre?
Yes. A measured amount of compound is added inside the tyre; however, it is carefully calibrated to maintain proper balance and does not affect handling or performance.
For two-wheelers, approximately 0.5 kg to 1 kg per tyre is used.
For cars (passenger vehicles), depending on tyre size, approximately 1.2 kg to 2.2 kg per tyre is applied to ensure effective protection while maintaining proper balance and driving comfort.
19. Is the application process time-consuming?
No. The standardized process is efficient and professionally managed, and typically takes around 30 minutes per vehicle.
20. What nail size can a Tyre Shield–coated tyre handle?
Tyre Shield is designed to seal punctures caused by nails or sharp objects up to approximately 6 mm in diameter, with nail length not exceeding 150 mm, provided the damage occurs within the repairable tread area under normal driving conditions.
For larger damage or sidewall punctures, professional inspection is recommended.
21. What are the material components of Tyre Shield?
Tyre Shield is a patented product, and its specific material composition is proprietary and confidential. The formulation is uniquely engineered to deliver safe, effective, and long-lasting self-healing puncture protection.
